Bentonville is also the home of the renowned Crystal Bridges art museum and is a thriving cycling destination, with extensive trails, hills, rivers and scenery.

We hope you can join us for our Spring flyout to Bentonville, Arkansas.

Activity Highlights

WINGS Safety Seminar

USPA safety seminars are open to everyone, and we encourage local pilots to attend whether they are USPA members or not. The safety seminar will include a guest speaker on a safety-related topic of interest and is eligible for WINGS credits.

Game Composites Tour

The GB1 Gamebird is an all-composite, 2- seat aerobatic aircraft capable of cruising at 200 knots for 1000 miles to your destination and then performing at up to 10 G's (plus and minus) when you get there.

Tested to an incredible 19 G's of ultimate load, the first conforming production model was produced at the Bentonville factory in 2018, with its FAA airworthiness certificate obtained in 2019, making the GB1 a rare example of a new design obtaining certification in the United States.

Learn more about this modern success story and the capabilities of this amazing aircraft during our exclusive USPA factory tour.

Crystal Bridges Art Museum

For the people in your travelling party who appreciate the finer things, one of the highlights of our trip will be the Crystal Bridges art museum.

This facility is set on 120 acres in the picturesque Ozark hills and features contemporary and American art.

Crystal bridges is named for the unique construction incorporated into the building, set on the site of a natural spring. The building itself is an impressive example of architecture and complements the art work within.

The permanent portion of the museum's collection spans five centuries of American art, with temporary rotating exhibitions that mean every visit is a little bit different.

However, Crystal Bridges doesn't simply offer a great collection of indoor art. If you are looking for an opportunity to stretch your legs and experience outdoor beauty as well, the site includes five miles of outdoor sculptures and walking trails.

Founded by philanthropist Alice Walton, the museum offers free admission to all.

E-Biking & Museum

TWA Museum

Bentonville is known as the Mountain Biking capital of the world.

There are 70 miles of trails within the city itself, connecting to over 400 miles through Arkansas bluffs and hollers.

Our chosen kick-off point is the All-American Trail, which provides options for all skill levels of rider, including sedate, paved paths or dirt trails according to your preference.

As we will be renting E-bikes, it will make it easy for the group to ride together, with stronger riders using less "boost" from the on-board batteries (no cheating!) :)

Your bicycle and helmet will be dropped off to you at the trailhead and then picked up after we return.

If E-biking is not your thing, Bentonville offer plenty of other opportunities, including the Museum of Native American history, with collections spanning five time periods. Located near the Crystal Bridges museum, admission is also free.

USPA Annual Meeting

arabiaSteamboat

The Bentonville Spring flyout will also include our annual USPA general meeting.

USPA is all about meeting like-minded aviators and providing an excuse to travel, fly your airplane and see new parts of the country that you might not otherwise have a chance to visit.

As a member of our grass-roots organization, you have a say in what we do and how we do it. Come hang out with some of your fellow pilots and offer your thoughts as to where else you might like to explore in upcoming flyouts around our great country.

Explore On Your Own

Bentonville offers a great base of operations for exploring the Ozark hills and the city itself has much to offer, with museums, restaurants and attractions.
