What We Did
Savannah, GA welcomed the group at Midcoast Regional Airport (KLHW). Savannah was known as Georgia’s oldest city and the county seat of Chatham County, established in 1733 on the Savannah River, with a history as the British colonial capital of the Province of Georgia and later the state’s first capital, and it was also described as a strategic port city that remains an industrial center and important Atlantic seaport, famed for antebellum hospitality, period architecture, and oak-lined streets.
The trip included a safety seminar, a Gulfstream factory tour, lunch at Miss Sophie’s Marketplace inside the Mighty Eighth Museum, a guided visit to the Mighty Eighth Museum, and time exploring Savannah’s Historic District with guided touring options, along with ghost tour options.
