Mobile, AL

March 23 - 26, 2023

Mobile, AL welcomed the group at Mobile International Airport (KMOB). As Alabama’s oldest city, Mobile sat on the Mobile River at the head of Mobile Bay on the north-central Gulf Coast, with roots as a French-founded colonial capital that later passed through British and Spanish rule before joining the United States, and it was known for the nation’s oldest organized Mardi Gras celebrations along with a strong arts scene and historic architecture.

The trip included a WINGS Safety Seminar with a guest speaker, tours of Continental Aerospace Technologies and the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility assembly line, and a visit to the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park to explore the WWII battleship USS ALABAMA and the submarine USS DRUM alongside an aircraft pavilion of historic planes and military vehicles, plus time to explore Mobile’s restaurants and museums and a group dinner at Briquettes Steakhouse.
