Fredericksburg

Members flew and drove to Texas this Fall. The highlights of this flyout included a factory tour of the TacAero Hangar (they assemble the Scalewings P-51 Mustang), a docent led tour of the National Museum of the Pacific War followed by lunch at a local brewery (and tour). In the evening we were entertained to see the bat emergence at Old Tunnel State Park (all 3 million bats!), and we donned on our cowboy boots and scooted over to Luckenbach to their famous dancehall and live country music. Our final day included a private trolley tour of the City and its historic sites, a decent amount of time on our own to shop, tour wineries and then a group dinner at a German restaurant (located in what used to be the town’s morgue back in the day). We capped off the night to learn more about the spooky side of Fredericksburg with a ghost walking tour.
